A cultural field in which difference is not resolved, but put to work.
MISSION
SWTEP designs protocols that bring artists, works, disciplines, and audiences into shared situations of production, exchange, and friction. It does not aim for consensus or fixed outcomes. It creates the conditions for something unforeseen to occur.
HOW IT WORKS
SWTEP begins with a proposition: a question, tension, relationship, or condition worth testing.
A protocol is built around it. Participants enter a shared situation under agreed conditions.
The protocol sets the frame. It does not determine the outcome.
Since 2019, SWTEP has moved through painting, poetry, sound, public participation, collaboration, and collective production. Each production is different. The principle remains: difference does not have to disappear in order for people to work together.
